Post by: Redaktion on August 19, 2026, 13:42:09

Why the Framework 12 Uses Fedora
Tablet and Touch Support: The 12-inch model is a convertible touch-and-stylus device. Fedora's up-to-date KDE Plasma and GNOME desktop environments handle auto-rotation, on-screen keyboards, and sensor daemons cleanly.
Why the Framework 13 Uses Ubuntu
Ecosystem Focus: Framework works closely with Canonical to certify the classic clamshell form factor, balancing the bleeding-edge hardware enablement with Ubuntu's enterprise-grade predictability that appeals to enterprise buyers and users wanting a reliable, fixed-release daily driver.
