OpenAI is discontinuing its AI browser ChatGPT Atlas on August 9, 2026, less than ten months after its launch. Bookmarks, open tabs, and browsing history will not be automatically transferred to another browser. Users who want to keep them must export them themselves beforehand. Atlas will no longer receive security updates anyway.
