Microsoft and Sony may have opposing ideas for the future of physical game discs. A Digital Foundry podcast revealed that Xbox was considering making backward-compatible media playable on Project Helix. The new Xbox console could lure protestors unhappy about a likely digital-focused PS6.

I would switch to Xbox to keep my discs alive and abandon 5 generations of Sony. Sad day to admit.

I have had PlayStation since the original tomb raider was released ( yes I'm that old ) but due to sonys stand I will sadly be looking at Microsofts new console. Getting rid of physical copies is a big deal for me, a very big deal
