What about all the new repairability? It's a technical marvel to get such a light device with 9/10 on iFixit!
Replaceable USB-C is the best change for a long time!
I have the 7th Gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon with Core i7, 16gb Ram and 1tb SSD. I love it. Running Windows 11, I look at the new one and other than speed I don't see a reason to upgrade. Mostly the work I do is on Chrome and if I have a good internet connection, I'm good. Decent amount of RAM and tons of drive space left. The keyboard is great. The audio is great. Loud and clear. I bought my 7th Gen with the hardware to future proof and it's turned out well. I wouldn't prefer the camera bump on the new one but not a big deal. Being able to change the battery more easily would be nice but I haven't ever needed to do that.
The taller screen is the main benefit of the newer devices from my point of view.
Now if only they still offered a matte IPS 2560x1600 option...
