I wish the reviewers had mentioned whether or not the cans work in wired mode.

The following suggestion is neither over-ear, nor ANC or wireless, but it's 10 bucks, pretty good with PEQ, much lighter and has been scientifically reviewed: audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/9-headphone-review-sony-mdr-zx110.19484/

Tho, 65 bucks is ok, if they perform well. (you may want to wait for a non-subjective review on e.g. audiosciencereview, or maybe not, as 65 bucks is worth a try)

Yes, it can also be used with a cable without Bluetooth.
