So who chooses their watch based on the financials of the maker? And a watch isn't bought based on a spec sheet, the way a laptop might be. For example, I don't care that my SNJ025 doesn't have sapphire. That's the watch I want, the design and functionality. There isn't another one like it.
Citizen has a remarkable propensity to take good ideas and turn then to unusually ugly results, and usually oversized at 42mm+ whilst theyre at it.
Is this really the type of «journalism» this site wants to be affiliated with? A paid article under cover of «opinion»? Comparing quartz to mechanical service intervals? Really? Rolex too gives a 5 year service interval. Is Citizen anywhere near Rolex? Comparing entry level 4R to the top level 9000? Both brands are excellent choices for watches but this article does justice to neither. It only tries to create controversy by blatantly miring Seiko to prove nothing. It's really shameful.

You would BASOLUTELY COMPARE a 4r36 movement with another better movement which is in a less expensive watch. WHat kind of dumb statement is that? Do you work for Seiko? You have to.

Get your facts straight first man. Series 8 starts at 1K+ and here is compared to a 750$ watch, regardless of brand. Moreover 4R can be found in entry level 5s for less than 400$. There is no 9000 in any price range that can be had for less than the cheapest 4R. The article stinks «paid» from all sides. Are you the author? You have to.

Two words: Spring Drive
Chuckling at the desperate attempts by The Internet to shill for Citizen and bash Seiko. Only bots are buying it.
Getting paid?!
