Title: Mainstream or niche? Sony can’t decide what its flagship smartphone wants to be
Post by: Redaktion on July 20, 2026, 14:37:16
What target audience is Sony trying to reach with its new flagship phone? With its unique features, Sony clearly sets itself apart from the competition. Yet, when it comes to the OLED display and overall dimensions, the new Xperia generation follows mainstream trends. Is Sony missing a clear strategy.

No notch, no bullet hole, Sony phones are valued for their beautiful screens. I'll keep buying them.

'What remains is a solid camera setup with fairly small sensors for this price range.'
where the f you get this info from, do you research probably, Sony uses some of the largest size sensor in the smart phone, no other smart phone can deliver true 24/96 hd audio other the the Xperia 1, and what do you mean by mid range phone display, the Google pixel 10 pro also use a OLED display, AMOLED is make by Samsung, is a similar tech to oled. yea after reading you review, I know you 100% don't like Sony, but over 50% of the smart phone in the world will be using a Sony sensor for their camera
