Castor, a new open-source Go CLI tool, casts web video straight to smart TVs at full quality, completely bypassing screen-mirroring lag. It extracts and transcodes streams for DLNA-compatible TVs, now available on GitHub at version 1.4.1.

Recent news of LG TVs spying and ppl recommending not to connect the any TV to the internet, because of this, defeats this castor tool, because it needs internet access? Instead, maybe just get a cheap/used/refurbished mini-PC/laptop with HDMI, then you have the whole display that you can show on the TV, also there's then no need to transcode, or any complicated commandline usage, etc.

Just tried it, works like a charm... Works very well on my old Samsung TV !
