Title: Still one of the fastest and quietest gaming laptops - Razer Blade 18 2026 Review
Post by: Redaktion on July 14, 2026, 15:57:52
The Razer Blade 18 is one of the fastest gaming laptops and the 2026 model now features Intel's latest Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus in combination with the familiar GeForce RTX 5090 and the dual-mode 4K IPS screen with 240 or 440 Hz. However, the price is now much higher than before.

Didn't Razer also upgraded the screen by making it 100 cd/m² brighter?

Crazy price. Imagine what kind of desktop PC you could get for that..it'd be one with an actual RTX 5090 32 GB VRAM, not this 5090 Laptop, which is a GB203 (256-bit) 5070 Ti/5080 chip is disguise: See "Consumer" table: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwell_(microarchitecture)#Blackwell_dies. (the 24 GB VRAM are achieved using 3 GB memory density, instead of 2 GB that are on the 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 desktop)

Why do dumb people always make this sort of comment on expensive gaming laptops? It's clear that a buyer of this laptop can easily afford to buy another gaming PC as well, or specifically needs a one machine solution. Stop comparing something stationary to a laptop. Or if it helps, consider this a roughly 5070 Ti desktop gaming pc on wheels with an 8 hour battery life as a websurfing/netflix machine, all within a fairly thin, well made chassis.
