Title: Zen 6-based AMD Medusa Point CPU posts impressive single-core Geekbench performance despite low clocks

An AMD Medusa Point engineering sample has surfaced on Geekbench, delivering an 11% single-core uplift over its Zen 5 counterpart despite running at just 2.0 GHz. Based on its specs, the chip is likely the Ryzen AI 9 565.

hope it gets more towards 4000 pts single core. 3100 is kinda low and barely better than zen 5, which is 2024

Pretty sure AMD knows this and it's going to be faster when released.

While an upgrade from an 8-core CCD to a 12-core CCD is nice, the bigger issue with all the AI desktop PC builds is the number of available PCIe 5.0 lanes. Ideally, an increase from 24 to 30 available PCIe 5.0 lanes would be nice, so that e.g. a third GPU could be added to run at PCIe 5.0 x8 (only a 1-2% performance difference vs the full x16, btw; to search for benchmarks you'd search for 'PCIe scaling') and motherboards that have the x8/x8/x8 bifurcation build-in.
