Valve's new Steam Machine drivers for Windows are now made official. The set includes drivers for all major components, and their release is in line with Valve's PC-first approach to gaming hardware.

Probably going to be the last windows driver update you ever see.

Deck windows drivers haven't been updated since 2023/2024.

Why did they even bother doing this? They should've just make it Linux-only and force people who really needs windows stuff to run them with Wine or in a virtual machine.

In fact, I would advocate for them to have its firmware completely preventing anything that isn't Linux from being booted on.
