Not only is the timing suspect, but Bethesda doubling down on the "physical" keyword in its post on X leaves little doubt about what it's taking a jab at.

While the issue of "servers shutting down in the future meant the game can't be downloaded and played" is inevitable, it at least isn't tied to an account unlike normal digital purchases or download codes.
