Title: Xiaomi officially ends software support for more Xiaomi, POCO, and Redmi phones

Xiaomi has added several Xiaomi, POCO, and Redmi smartphones to its End-of-Life list. The affected devices, including the Xiaomi 12 series and POCO X5 lineup, will no longer receive software or security updates.

Yep my POCO M6 Pro 4G has reached its EOL  with the newest HyperOS 3.0.32 too.

What does it mean End of Life? You can't use the phone or tablet anymore? It would be open or prone to hackers virus malwares etc? HOw could one protect his device? Can we acquire third party protection or some app to protect it.
