Title: GTA 6 physical discs will be available for purchase, but there’s a catch

GTA 6 pre-orders are live, and the game comes in two editions: the Standard and the Ultimate. Some content is exclusive to the Ultimate Edition, but pre-order bonuses are available with both, though without a physical disc, at least for now.

If the disc is only a code to download it as opposed to actually containing the game. What's the point. Plus you don't own anything except a box. Seems like a skank.

I think this would be the actual disc with the game on it. But you're right about the second part.

Tbh I just really want to play on day one. I dont want to repeat the thing I had with Indiana Jones for ps5 where they said the game will relase for ps5 shortly after (as with the situation that the disc version will relase shortly after) and having to wait months. I would like the disc but I dont want to have to wait a lot. Also as long as I get the box with maps and posters I dont really care. I mainly want the box.

I never played/owned any GTA, so I can wait a few more months to then not get the game, when it's available on disk :-D
