Title: "Stim Machine": Steam Machine rival packs more performance for the same price
Post by: Redaktion on June 25, 2026, 13:54:23
With the "Stim Machine," French hardware retailer LDLC has launched a provocative alternative to Valve's Steam Machine. The cube-shaped mini-PC also costs €1,039 ($1,179), but comes with a more powerful Radeon RX 9060 XT and standard Mini-ITX hardware. However, it does not ship with SteamOS pre-installed – and that is exactly where opinions on Reddit are divided.

Valve's build is more interesting - much more compact and I expect way quieter.

They're using a 350watt PSU. I know these are low wattage parts, but isn't that cutting things a little tight?
