Better pick an android tablet with a keyboard case, it'll cost around 200€ and you'll be able to do better than a W11 laptop with 4Go RAM
Nooo!!
A foolish idea to drop to 4GB of RAM. While I agree windows can struggle by with 4GB of RAM as it can with a 2 core, 4 threaded processor and boot off an 64GB eMMC storage chip - as soon as windows doggedly tries to update along with a background virus scan, it'll seriously struggles to do that, let alone do anything else for a good hour and a big plus later until completed as it deals with the impact of crippled resources.
While I accept I might be wrong, but windows has a poor track record of running well on underpowered ARM chips which is likely to be the case to meet the price point.
E-waste potential, eh?
Literally E-waste dead on arrival.
Yup they are back, seen a few HP models going for ~$250 with basic everything at Staples.
Really low-end 720p, washed-out displays, minimal slow storage, and that shocking 4GB of soldered RAM with no upgrade path that belong in the pre-2015 era. The stuff MS enforced back in the Win 8 days, which was bad enough back then, totally inexplicable today.
The only thing you can do to improve performance on these unupgradeable, all-soldered notebooks is to install a Linux distro with a lightweight desktop environment.
