Title: RPCS3 PS3 emulator test on Linux-hacked PS5 shows why Sony ports so few games

The Linux on PS5 hack makes the console a tempting platform for the RPCS3 PS3 emulator. Digital Foundry discovered that more GPU-dependent games thrived on the newer hardware. Unfortunately, performance suffered with titles designed to maximize the PlayStation 3's cell processor.

Sony port so few games because the Sony sheep are so grateful for any PS1 release or remaster to justify spending 500+ on a console that constantly failed to deliver.

From what I understand the way the jailbreak works is completely through software OS based. The exact same software and OS that runs on base model also runs on ps5 pro.

So technically it too can also do everything here. Won't make any difference in emulation performance as CPU is same on both. But could make quite a difference in testing GPU heavy pc games.

Might make it a good way to get a high end dgpu machine for cheap considering the pricing of everything these days. And monster TOP performance for AI upscaling with FSR4.1
