See? This is "progress" and "improvement" these days. Step 1 - remove it. Step 2 - wait a couple of years. Step 3 - reintroduce it back. And they (MS) get offended for being called Microslop, lol.

Yeah ... same $hit happened with laptop screens: 16:10 displays were common around 2008 or so, then they replaced all with 16:9 displays, praised as innovative even though they were $hitty, and 10 years later 16:10 displays returned and laptops sellers claimed how innovative it was ...
Can we separate the icons in the bottom left? I want them separate like it is in w10...

Apple never switched to 16:9. IIRC, they only one where they did was the 11.6" air.
Even though I disagree with many of their decisions, this was the one thing I did respect them for. Just wish they went further and gone fully back to 4:3.
The rest of the OEM clowns in windows space didn't even bother fighting or resisting. Just switched instantly to follow whatever most profitable at the time.
I honestly think it was Apple and the MacBook that forced other OEMs to switch back. If not for them, we probably still be on 16:9 or something even worse possibly.

People like me who criticised every 16:9 notebook for years may also have contributed to the motivation of OEMs to go back to at most 16:10.
Oddly the ONLY Windows powered device I own that has a decent (MacBook like) aspect ratio is a "Microsoft Surface Book2". LOL!!!
Go figure.
(can't stand the 16:9 aspect ratio laptops)
