3000$ for a laptop where its not possible to install a bigger ssd than 2TB because of the f* one 2242 slot.

Crazy high price, and tiny SSD without any DRAM,

Yes, crazy indeed. At this point an Apple Air should be looked at (tho it doesn't have 64 GB of RAM). AFAIK, a DRAM chip consumes power too and may lead to a shorter battery time. Some of the RAM is used to greatly compensate the missing DRAM chip and, depending on your workload, you are not going to notice the missing DRAM chip.
Where are you guys getting this information? The PSREF says it's a normal 2280 SSD and should be completely upgradeable. Also, my unit came with a Samsung 9100 SSD which has DRAM.

ChatGPT, probably.

It is 2280, yes. Also shown initially during its release, at CES, before PSREF was even available:

That's a beastly drive (and an excellent laptop)! No potential issues with thermals, hopefully?
Edit: I think the issue they have above is that "Up to 2 TB" thing in the specs; it's just the largest they offer to configure, or preconfigured, not the largest supported drive. If one has an 8 TB 2280 laying around, they can use it just fine.

No complaints here, the thermals are pretty great.
Also, I may have confused my drive with an older laptop, apoligies. I double-checked and it's actually a Samsung PM9E1 MZVLC2T0HBLD.
