Title: HP 255 G10 with 7120U review: Small budget, low performance
Post by: Redaktion on May 10, 2026, 05:34:51
The HP 255 G10 promises a lot of everyday usability for little money as an affordable office notebook. In the test, we show why the Athlon Silver 7120U, the dark TN display and the features clearly slow down the budget laptop despite its good maintainability.

That's just e-waste. Hate that's even allowed.

Agreed, a POS at any price. That screen is a total disgrace that would have been a disgrace 20 years ago.

An iPad can do a far better job even saddled with that crappy iPadOS.

And yet it still scored 74% and "Average"...

Since when <80% became a bad score? Average means something not bad (rather good), but also not shining in any way - this one's just plain awful.

LMFAO at TN screen at 600 bucks. I remember putting up with a TN screen in 2011 from a 2nd hand laptop I got for 100 bucks and it was lousy then.

What the hell is 74% for? That *should* be a very good score.

The good keyboard and touchpad, temperature and noise do save the day for the device. As described, if you are only doing basic tasks, I am sure the display wont be the deal breaker.
