Honor's Lightning humanoid robot has shocked the world by winning the 2026 Beijing E-Town Humanoid Robot Half Marathon in a net time of 50:26, smashing Ugandan runner Jacob Kiplimo's half-marathon world record of 57:20. Standing 169 cm tall, the bright-red robot from the smartphone maker features high-dynamic motion control, embodied AI for autonomous navigation, and an advanced liquid-cooling system.

US change or be second rate which we are now.
 
China is way ahead in robots, EVs, batteries, windmills, high speed rail, and solar.

Sounds like an exhaustive list, which it's of course not: They are ahead in many other things as well and will be more ahead further still. What is left for them to build for us is: 7800X3D / 9800X3D / 10800X3D (the upcoming 12-core chilets design) equivalent in CPUs and and an equivalent of a RTX 4070 / 4090 / 5090 with same power efficiency or slightly less (-10-20%), which still would be ok, but maybe then with more VRAM to compensate.
