Title: Denuvo blocks Pragmata Steam Deck and Linux players, as reviews slam anti-piracy DRM
Post by: Redaktion on April 17, 2026, 17:39:48
Denuvo aims to curb piracy, but it can also frustrate legitimate buyers. Pragmata Steam Deck and Linux players who update their PCs may not be able to run the game. The DRM has a 5-machine activation limit per 24 hours, and these changes count toward that restriction.

I don't really have much sympathy, this is what you get when you buy games with Denuvo s*** on them.

A lot of great games have Denuvo protections so avoiding then isn't always practical. Quite a number of them are worth living with Denuvo.

Besides, this is usually not an issue on Windows machines and even on Steam Deck, it only hits people experimenting with different Proton layers in a short time.
