Title: Thermal Master P4 Review: Even more powerful, still pocketable
Post by: Redaktion on April 17, 2026, 07:48:39
A dual-camera powerhouse that trades manual focus for workflow efficiency. Thermal Master even has a new official app to go with it.

The unnecessary visible light camera makes this IR-dingle like twice more expensive for the same IR capability one could get otherwise if one would get a single IR-only camera. If you want to spend 400, I'd get a single-camera/IR-only dongle and get much better specifications for the same money, than this.

The P3 has the same native resolution and is cheaper.

QuoteThermal Resolution    256 x 192
Thanks for stating the true resolution of this, on Amaz the true resolution is not even stated (sheeple shop) and only: "512×384 X³"..what a AI fakery.

Thermal Master should release a at least 320x240 single-lens dongle already.

So pros are pros, and cons are cons (https://imgur.com/a/Blwhimi)? You know, I can't really dispute that 😋

I'm a big fan of Thermal Master, started with the P2, then the P3, and now the P4. If you've used their stuff, you know their color contrast and edge detail  stand out for the price. The P4 adds thermal and visible fusion, so the edge detail comes through more. The image looks clean. I'd pick their phone thermals over FLIR. FLIR hasn't done much with their phone side for years, likely to keep their handhelds selling. People can tell.
