The official RPCS3 system requirements list the Ryzen 7 9800X3D to get the maximum performance out of the PS3 emulator. Some people have questioned the hardware requirements. The team behind RPCS3 has now explained why the software requires such high-end hardware.

I kind of wish they did a tier list for Mobile CPUs. If I recall correctly there was one made a while back, but it's very out of date. Has steam deck APU and z1 extreme but nothing newer like how Lunar Lake fares or Ryzen AI Max / Panther Lake would perform. Or even how Snapdragon X2 Elite does on native arm builds (likely will have issues due to poor gfx drivers but would be nice to see if any progress being made here).

Quotehas 2 different Instruction Set Architectures (PPC + SIMD)

Not only are those different but they're also niche (PPC) to nonexistent in current gen CPUs (SIMD).
