Raspberry Pi has confirmed new pricing for many of its popular single-board computers and system-on modules. Reassuring fans that today's announcement is 'not an April Fool's, Raspberry Pi has increased the price of one Raspberry Pi 5 SKU by almost 50%.

They sure picked the wrong day to release this, it's sadly not surprising nor funny.

There's no point in shelling out this much for a Pi5 16 or 8GB, just get a cheap mini PC at this point.
