QuoteOn the one hand, the convertible starts with a 1200p IPS panel that combines a 60 Hz refresh rate with 400 nits peak brightness and 45% NTSC colour space coverage. [..]
The IdeaPad 5a 2-in-1 (15AGP11) starts at $899.99
45% NTSC = 72% sRGB and it's been obsoleted/superseded by DCI-P3 since 2015.
For the same money Apple Air gives you 500 nits and 100 DCI-PC (86% NTSC colour space coverage).

There are already many windows laptops that achieve this. Imo, this isn't setting a high enough standard.
What we need now are panels that are true 10-bit so we can avoid temporal dithering and FRC.
I'm unsure if there are any laptop panels that are able do this but I do know such mobile ph0ne panels exist.
