New Blood Interactive CEO David Oshry and Dusk creator David Szymanski have criticized Nvidia's forthcoming DLSS 5, set to launch this fall on RTX 50-series GPUs, arguing that its shift toward generative AI goes beyond super-sampling and muddies what DLSS is meant to be. Both warn that "optional" adoption may become effectively mandatory as games are built around the tech, and they urge developers and consumers to push back by withholding collaboration and spending.https://www.notebookcheck.net/New-Blood-CEO-slams-NVIDIA-DLSS-5-Who-asked-for-this.1261798.0.html
Who asked for better looking games? I did. My wife did. Our kids did. Our neighbor across the street did. Every game player I know has wanted better looking games and as games get better looking more copies are selling. I guess I'd ask, who doesn't want the games they play to look better/more realistically lit. If that's what you really want, turn down all your settings to lowest available and enjoy.

Found the COD player. You know games have artistic direction and not every game is hyper-realistic.
I don't want a 5 series GPUS to befome mandarory in my games, I dont want Sonic or Cuphead or Celeste or Hades or Doom looking like a Balenciaga freakshow...
Let the ARTIST decided what the game looks like.
