Title: Why did Apple take months to fix a basic typing issue on iPhone?
Post by: Redaktion on March 19, 2026, 18:22:57
Apple's iOS 26.4 update finally fixes a frustrating keyboard bug that caused missed keystrokes for months. The issue hit fast typists the hardest, and no acknowledgement was provided by Apple. This raises an important question: why did such a basic, yet principal problem take so long to fix?

Apple is notorious for needing years for fixing some bugs and never fixing others. E.g., for over 10 years of using my iPad, Safari video streaming has always been buggy, causing frozen streams, wrong window positions or mistakes for floating window views. It just works - not.
