Apple is notorious for needing years for fixing some bugs and never fixing others. E.g., for over 10 years of using my iPad, Safari video streaming has always been buggy, causing frozen streams, wrong window positions or mistakes for floating window views. It just works - not.
Priorities - fixing bugs is a QoL concept that increases customer satisfaction, but that isn't easily monetized (especially on devices already sold). Simply put, if it doesn't increase revenues, it's a lower priority.
By the way, this isn't an iOS 26 bug that's been happening for "months", it's been an issue for several years on several past versions of the OS.
I read several times that HP EliteBooks are supposedly having the missing keystrokes issue too, not sure if Windows and/or Linux.
