Title: Futurewave O-Boy smartwatch aims to save lives rather than count steps
Post by: Redaktion on March 17, 2026, 18:36:43
The Futurewave O-Boy is probably one of the most unusual smartwatches on the market, not only because of its futuristic, almost spherical design, but above all because the watch neither counts steps nor measures your pulse. Instead, the smartwatch is designed to call for help via satellite in an emergency.

It's basically a watch with a button that sends an SOS message via satellite. And by "watch" I mean that literally. It's just a watch. When a product's website is entirely composed of glossy pictures and "design sketches" wrapped around flowery marketspeak... you know this is going to a "lifestyler" product meant to appeal to brand/image conscious types.

You can do the same thing with most modern phones.

Pass.
