Title: Buyer denied DDR5 RAM replacement under warranty, with retailer quoting high memory prices
Post by: Redaktion on March 09, 2026, 17:24:28
An Australian retailer has denied a buyer's request to replace a Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM kit. Despite qualifying for warranty coverage, Umart is only willing to issue a refund for the original purchase. Skyrocketing memory prices have made stores hesitate to agree to costly substitutes.

He got a full refund despite using the RAM for awhile, I don't see the issue here.

Yeah, I think it is a ripoff for just getting your money back. It should be a replacement part. They shipped a bad product and now want a future market value for something that was already sold during the warranty period. Garbage, is what it is. Now the person is out the product and has to pay a different amount than what they were willing to pay to begin with.

Umart are literally criminals. I purchased a new gaming PC from them a few months back and they gave me a used and faulty pc. It was a nightmare experience. I launched a Paypal dispute and thankfully received a refund.

I started this as a simple side hustle, and last month I made a little over $6,137 just working a few hours a day from my phone. If you want to check out how it works, the website has all the details.
