The Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus is expected to arrive soon, taking the place of the Core Ultra 5 245K. With four additional efficiency cores and higher turbo clocks, the 250K Plus appears ready to cement its position as a powerful productivity machine.

In UserBenchmark 245K is 38% faster than 9600X in 8-core test, But 83% faster in 64-core test.

Are you comparing apples and oranges?

Intel Core 5 Ultra 250K Plus vs AMD Ryzen 5 9600X?
2026 Q1 vs 2024 Q3
18 cores vs 6 cores
>125W vs 65W

Let's compare it with AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
2026 Q1 vs 2024 Q3
18 cores vs 12 cores
>125W vs 120W
Intel Core 5 Ultra 250K Plus is marginally better in single core performance (+4.6%) and worse in multicore (-4.5%).

If new Intel CPU costs about the same price as AMD 9600X then that's breaking news (energy efficiency aside). Otherwise, I do not understand this article.

Those using User benchmark should give their head a wobble as it's the most biased "benchmark" out there. Interesting to note that Intel's flagship processor core ultra 250k plus gets a passmark CPU score of 52020 where as the AMD Flagship laptop processor the Ryzen 7945hx3d gets a CPU score of 57,847. Cherry picking AMD CPUs to try and make intel look good
