Title: Samsung misled media at Galaxy S26 Ultra launch by reporting wrong 10-bit color depth of AMOLED display
Post by: Redaktion on March 03, 2026, 19:56:33
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has found itself embroiled in another controversy. It has now come to light that the Galaxy S26 Ultra doesn't feature a true 10-bit AMOLED panel but an 8-bit display. This has enraged some fans as this puts the Galaxy S26 Ultra behind the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max doesn't have a 10 bit display either. All iPhones use 8 bit FRC panels just like Samsung.

This is the year I stopped ordering samsung phones. They are beyond jerks at this point and I will not tolerate this.

Did you guys do any research for this article? The iPhone 17 series doesn't have 10-bit displays either and there is no verifiable source of Samsung ever claiming it was 10-bit. There's plenty of journalists who decided to report it, but not an ounce of Samsung marketing claiming it. Your ire needs to be turned to journalists -- but then you'd have to actually take accountability, which you won't even do with this horrible article.
