Motorola smartphones could become significantly more attractive for users who place a high priority on privacy and data protection. The company plans to offer smartphones running the open-source GrapheneOS in the future.

Always wondered which OEM they meant when they say awhile back they were working with someone. Now we know :)

Motorola make solid hardware but their software support has been abit iffy. This should help a ton!

Can't believe Sony Xperia or no Japanese OEM isn't doing the same.

I'm actually excited for this. I really hope Graphene and Linux phones take off now that Google decided to gutter the reason why most of us still use Android.

This is actually insane, and a great move for a company that was pretty much irrelevant in this space. They're definitely back on my radar now!
