Lenovo is offering the ThinkPad P16s Gen 4 laptop with a massive 49% discount for a limited time. With 96 GB of DDR5 memory and a 12-core Strix Point APU, the P16s promises good performance with a few, but notable downsides.

Good news. Since the P1 series dropped to maximum RAM from 96 GB back to 64 GB, this P14s / P16s series remains, only P16 non-s goes to 192 GB RAM. But in AI / LLM and data privacy times, we need the P14s / P16s series to support up to 128 GB RAM at this point (and the T series may be up to 96 GB RAM).

The soldered WiFi card is bummer tho. A P-class workstation laptop should not have a soldered WiFI card.. LENOVO makes life for FRAMEWORK easier.
