Garmin offers a paid premium service for its wearables. Many users have strongly criticized this kind of paywall, but it probably won't go away anytime soon.

I gave it a shot last month. I was hoping the nutritional tracking would be helpful. Maybe it's because I'm in Canada, but a lot of foods didn't fit, and my meal prepping wasn't easy since you have to fraction up the overall meal yourself after it's made.

I let my subscription lapse since it didn't make my Fenix 8 any more useful. I decided to put the money into Tacx membership instead for my new Neo 2T trainer.

The moment Garmin locks useful features or ones I currently use behind that paywall, I'm heading for the exit with Coros or any other fitness tracker.
