The increasing RAM and SSD demand caused by the AI craze is expected to last for at least 5 more years and prices would remain high if current production capacities are not increased. Phison CEO Chien-Cheng Pan warns that this crisis could spell the demise of many small and medium consumer electronics companies especially from the smartphone, PC and TV sectors.
