We may be facing the end of an era of affordable personal computing. Back to 1970 when only big companies could afford computers. The prices of AI kits solds in millions are insane. Who cares about items sold for pennies? The only hope is evolution, which usually eliminates creatures out of proportions - aka dinosaurs.
