Intel Core Ultra 9 290K Plus was supposed to sit at the top of the Arrow Lake Refresh lineup, but plans have seemingly taken a turn for the worse. According to an unconfirmed report, Intel is no longer expected to launch the 290K Plus SKU.

The is no universe in existence where a mere 100MHz clock boost gives a 10% performance increase. That's possibly the stupidest thing I've read in a long time. If they've achieved 10% then there must be a lot more going on under the hood Intel haven't revealed. The 9850X3D got a 400MHz clock lift and is barely 2-3% faster.
