Whilst the budget-oriented Samsung Galaxy A17 is scheduled for as many as six major Android updates, the Motorola Moto G17 will apparently receive none – and will even ship with an outdated version of Android to boot. Motorola has confirmed that it doesn't see any requirement to provide OS updates in the EU either.

Only a truly scumbag company would treat consumers with such appalling contempt, and the authorities are also true scumbags if they allow this. The phone should be outright banned if it does not come with at least 4 years of updates.
