You may soon be able to run PS2 games on your PC without an emulator. "PS2Recomp" is a new tool that aims to translate PS2 code to C++ that could then be run on modern platforms. The tool is currently under development.

That's actually really awesome. Open Goal allows you to do that already with Jak and Daxter so it was only a matter of time.

Roll on PS3 and PS4.
