Sony Home Entertainment, the division that develops Sony Bravia TVs, home theater speaker systems and soundbars will become part of a joint venture with TCL. Sony will hold only a minority stake, which gives TCL control over the new TV company.

Is it the downfall of the Sony? They gave up on laptops, outsourced their smartphones(which they are killing with their unreasonable crazy pricing) and now outsource their TVs as well...

TVs are overrated anyway. Your basically paying additional tax for a spyware infested SmartOS.
