There probably won't be many new features in the Galaxy S26 series, which makes Samsung's planned upgrades for 2026 all the more important. Both the camera and the display will benefit from improvements, at least on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as recently confirmed by a leaker, and the top configuration will potentially offer more RAM than previously expected.

The most interesting thing about Samsung is its 7 years of operating system updates. If you're someone who likes to take care of their phone and wants it to last, go for Samsung. If you change phones every 2 years, then Xiaomi is the way to go for your model; Xiaomi phones only receive updates for 3-4 years.
