A new report from a popular hardware insider claims AMD's upcoming Zen 5 X3D desktop CPUs, reportedly named Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 and Ryzen 7 9850X3D, have been internally confirmed ahead of CES 2026. The YouTuber also suggests the new chips were demonstrated running significantly higher DDR5 memory speeds than current Zen 5 processors.

For actual 9600 MT/s and above, CAMM2 motherboards need to come out. If not earlier, hopefully by AM6 and DDR6 ("8,800-17,600 MT/s") then.

Hard to really give a toss given that memory prices are going to keep skyrocketing through 2026 and 2027 and virtually no supply for DIY. DIY market will collapse this year as also ssd and hdd prices are skyrocketing.
