Agreed. I had done a lot of research but still had not seen that the Lunar Lake with 5G was the heavier chassis (same weight as my gen 6) and nowhere this appeared while ordering it. It's still an amazing device with great battery life, and I need 5G, so I am keeping it, but things like this should be specified better in their website.

I disagree. We need to remember is that Thinkpads are a business brand aimed at businesses, chosen by IT departments. Lenovo has already slaughtered dozens of brands, and partly have already started slaughtering the thinkpad brand too.
We need to stop with the mentality that every laptop has to be generic same and for everyone. That laptops like all products can be tailored towards specific audiences.
It's precisely this kind of mentality pushed by media and companies that leads to power users who are informed and can make such decisions feel helpless due to lack of options we want. Because as options are removed, you find yourself with nothing you can choose.
So please stop!
Isn't there such a thing that when consumers are overwhelmed by too many options that they may not get any option? (ofc, IT departments won't be overwhelmed by one, two or maybe even more dozen options, but they will have to look through them). Personally, plus/minus 5 different CPU options should be enough.

Well, I think (no pun intended) you're wrong. ThinkPad is a line for IT departments, professionals or enthusiasts for whom there's no such thing as a too many options. And for those who want a generic consumer laptop where too many options can be a problem - there's ThinkBook line.
