Title: No OLED on Strix Point ThinkPads: Lenovo artificially limits its AMD models to WUXGA IPS
Post by: Redaktion on December 19, 2025, 22:01:06
There are three Lenovo ThinkPad laptops with AMD's high-end Strix Point CPU series. None of them have the option for a high quality OLED screen, despite these screens being an option for less expensive Krackan Point models. Is Lenovo making its AMD models again worse on purpose?

That's fine LenoBlo there are plenty of other brands and guess what, you usually don't have to try 3 copies to get one that works properly. Their non-business laptops are crap quality.

I hate OLED :)
It is very difficult to work on such a screen for more than 2 hours.
In my opinion, most of these laptops are used with an external monitor, so paying for OLED is not necessary.
