Title: Benchmark shows Windows 11 update dropped frame rates by 50% before Nvidia hotfix driver
Post by: Redaktion on November 25, 2025, 17:44:32
An October Windows update crippled performance in titles like Assassin's Creed Shadows. A Digital Foundry benchmark demonstrates how a patch for the 24H2 and 25H2 versions sent frame rates plummeting. An Nvidia driver update corrected the problem, but frustration about gaming issues in Windows 11 persists.

A sad way to end Pascal cards' support... just a hotfix driver aka just a temporarily workaround until MS & NVIDIA implement a full solution driver-side; which will not come until the next driver branch that will not support the EOL Pascal.

I hope Pascal owners keep that in mind... and to feel a peace of mind; Pascal users should only use drivers that were released before the October/25 Window's update... heck...  even removing the October update should be considered.
