Title: I bought a €20 smartwatch on Aliexpress — here’s how that turned out
Post by: Redaktion on November 25, 2025, 12:20:08
I wanted a round smartwatch with long battery life and a vibration alarm that I can set directly on the watch — without annoying smartphone pairing. It basically didn't need to do much at all, but it should be inexpensive. So I ordered one of those €20 models from Aliexpress. Here's what I got.

If you do not absolutely need round display look at PineTime. Open source from hardware to software.

Good luck. I want something very simple that does alarms and timers with at least 21 days of battery life and am struggling to find a worthy option.

That's the thing, notebookcheck advertises these cheap smartwatches but never actually reviews them and how they compare to the expensive ones.

Maybe buy a few from temu with 90 day return policy, try a few of them and make a review? 2 birds with one stone.

That's coverage, not advertising....

Regarding the 2nd part of that statement, we simply do not get review units, and it's not like every single Notebookcheck reader wants to read reviews of that kind, either. The number of clicks that certain topics or article types receive plays a very big role in making editorial decisions, guys.
