According to a veteran analyst, Apple is preparing to release three new devices next spring. With the iPhone 17e and iPad 12th Gen reportedly on track for early 2026 introductions, Jeff Pu has elaborated on rather paltry expectations for Apple's budget MacBook, which could start at $699 but with a mere 8 GB RAM.

I really cannot wait for the low-end Macbook where some will believe they're getting an awesome deal for just $500-600 only to realize it's a locked dud limited to an iPhone chip with 8 GB of RAM.

Either it will run MacOS and offer a spectacularly bad user experience, or run off iPadOS and have the same limitations as any iPads we've been accustomed to for years. Oh, and overpriced accessories of course.

Innovation! Progress! Greed!
