Title: Flat, quiet, and efficient – the 18-inch Asus TUF Gaming A18 review
Post by: Redaktion on November 21, 2025, 13:00:36
The 18-inch Asus TUF Gaming A18 with an RTX 5070 is surprisingly slim and lightweight, and even in Performance mode it stays impressively quiet — is it the perfect desktop replacement?

Quiet? Well, with such a poor CPU, no wonder. The Asus ROG Strix G18 2025 (right next to it in a table) is 2x more powerful and only 10% louder for +/- the same price. So who will buy this?

2200 bucks for obsolete 8 GB VRAM. Some games already don't load textures, stutter or don't even start with 8 GB VRAM in 1080p. 12 GB VRAM will soon need to be the minimum. More: E.g. YouTube/"8GB of VRAM is not Enough for AAA in 2025 Tested (Jarrod'sTech and Hardwareunboxed‬)". You may want to wait for the 3 GB GDDR7 densities in 2026, instead of the current 2 GB per chip.

And the sometimes half or even lower FPS with the 8GB VRAM is an additional no-go issue.
