A new report says iPhone 17's N1 networking chip gives it an advantage in network tests over flagship Android phones. Apple's N1 beat out competing chips from Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Broadcom on the latest Android flagships.

Cool. How about the signal strength? iPhones sucked regarding reception for many years and nobody really covered that. $100 Moto phone would receive better signal than a $1200 iPhone. Verified by many people

Unfortunately, the N1 is a big headache for US mobile carriers due to the lack of support for mmWave connectivity.

It's funny that speed is the only metric that matters apparently - while it does, I'm certainly interested in hearing about reliability and power usage, as well as speed.
